Sale of Special Hauling Permits at Toll Plazas to be Discontinued

IMPORTANT THRUWAY INFORMATION:

Effective January 1, 2010, Special Hauling Permits will no longer be issued at Toll Plazas. Customers interested in applying for a Special Hauling Permit must either contact a Permit Service or register online via the Thruway Over-Dimensional Permit System (TOPS). Visit www.thruway.ny.gov and click on "TOPS" located directly under the "Commercial Services." menu.

Customers without Internet access may contact the Special Hauling Permit Unit at (518) 436-2793.

Vehicles attempting to enter the Thruway System without a valid Special Hauling Permit after December 31, 2009 will be directed offthe Thruway System by State Police.
