Part-Time Toll Collector
Part-Time Toll Collectors play a vital role in the successful operation of the Thruway Authority. In addition to conducting toll transactions, Toll Collectors communicate with State Police and emergency service providers to help keep the roadway safe.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be able to pass a pre-screen test. Prior money-handling experience is a plus.
Duties Description: The incumbent in this position will primarily be responsible for collecting tolls and providing vehicle entry to the Thruway.
Additional Information: These positions pay $13.90 per hour. This is a 24-hour, 7-day a week work environment and there is a need for employees who can work flexible hours. Employees must work holidays. Shifts vary from 3 to 8 hours with additional pay earned for hours worked outside 7 am – 3 pm and holidays. Mandatory overtime is a possibility. These positions belong to the Teamster's Negotiating Unit. Preference will be given to those who are available on weekends.

Part-Time Toll Collectors who work an average of 20 hours per week qualify for a supplemental bonus of $1,625 extra per year and are eligible for up to $3,000 per year in tuition assistance!
Tuition Assistance: Based on the number of hours worked in a 4-month
period, Part-Time Toll Collectors can earn up to $6,000 per year towards school tuition!
PROGRAM: Open enrollment for the CDL-B Training Program is from July 1 - July 31, 2019. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited for the 2019 Program.
